I CLEANED THE SINK :)

So it has been a while since I last posted so I thought it was about time... It has been a crazy, busy, last couple weeks! School is getting old, and I am sooo excited for summer to come!! So last night some friends and I took a much needed break from homework, school, and work and went to good ol' Angies here in Logan. As some of you may not know Angies is one of us Aggies favorite places to eat... but most of all to CLEAN THE SINK!! You can't go to USU and NOT clean the sink! Well since I hadn't yet I thought it would be fun! About a gallon of ice cream, oreos, reeses, bannans, strawberrys, carmel topping, fudge topping, and even Whip cream later WE DID IT!! IT was a blast!! So word of advice to anyone who wants to clean the sink, take ALOT of people-- or you will get WAY sick!! So it tuned out to be a good day, and a fun way to kick off my summer, the end :)

General Conference

I was so very blessed and grateful to be able to go to General Conference this last weekend for the very first time. It was an amazing experience! Thanks to my AWESOME Big brother and his AMAZING wife Emily, I was able to snatch up a couple tickets. I think we take General Conference for granted sometimes. There is so much more than just being able to have a legit excuse to not go to church. We are so blessed to be able to hear from our church leaders, and especially our dear Prophet, and the guidance they give. I have to say that actually going to General Conference versus just watching it on television are entirely different things! There is just something about being in a room with 21,000 people--- and having complete reverence when the Prophet walks in. It is the most tremendous feeling- words cannot describe. I have never been in the same building as a Prophet, so it was a new experience for me.

As for the Building itself, it was extraordinary! I cannot get over how it is built! We sat in the balcony so we could overlook the entire audience, I was in awe when we walked in! Another thing I had never seen, was the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I know they sound the same as they do on T.V. but in real life, and the setting it was just AWESOME!

Although Conference was an eye opener, I have to say the best part of the day was that it was Easter. I love this day- it was my first one away from my family, which was really weird, but none the less it was a good day. President Monson really emphasized on service- the biggest thing I learned this Easter. Our Savior served us by atoning for our sins, and dying for us. Although we could never repay a debt such as that one- we can do it in different ways. I am so thankful for my parents who are ALWAYS serving us kids, and for teaching us the true meaning of Easter. So in all it was a testimony building experience for me. Thanks again Em and Jas- LOVE YOU GUYS! I just posted some pictures of the amazing Conference Center also because I am so intrigued with it!

Since I took a break last semester it seems I am having to learn how to study all over again!! But I am none the less loving every second of it! I have had the opportunity to meet many new people, that is truly the best part about college! Besides school I am also trying to work at least 3 days a week at the hospital so its been pretty busy! Here are some pictures that I decided to add last minute! Enjoy!! :)

I have officially finished my first year up here in Logan at USU-- and I absoultely LOVE it!! I am taking a semeser off as of right now because of some residency issues, but hopefully I will be able to save up enough money so I won't have to work next semester when I return to school as a full time student. HAIR!

As you all know I have a MARVELOUS Big SISTER who is a very very talented Cosmotologist-- Since I now live closer to her I get the privalge of getting my hair done more than every six months :). Jess and I are beginning to have a hair day once a month, I go out to her casa and she does my hair and in return she has been teaching me the hairdressing skill so I color her hair for her :)! It all works out perfect! So about 5 months ago I decided I was sick of being blonde.. time for change so I colored my hair DARK DARK brown--all of you who know me have never seen me anything BUT BLONDE-- so it was quite a shock for my family especially my mom and dad. HA but I loved every second of it because I didn't have to hear blonde jokes all the time, and I didn't have to hear my dad's usual comment after I do something ditzy or dumb..."It must be the hair...."-love you dad- So cutting to the chase I decided to go back blonde..here are a few before and after pictures!!

The College Life....

Sorry I have been horrible about keeping up with this blog...I will be better from now on I promise!! Life for me hasn't changed too much.. Jason moved in a couple apartments away and I now see him all the time!! He will just pop his head in to see what boys are around, and to grab an entire batch of cookies for himself...Gotta love him!! I am sooo lucky to have Jess and Bry here also-- they are truly my life savers! Going out to see my MoNkEy would have to be my favorite escape from this college craziness!! He is soo happy and just brightens my day everytime I see him! I do miss my parents and especially my little sisters- it is really weird not seeing them everyday! BUt for the most part I am loving college and the late night trips to Carl's Jr., the endless homework that just seems to build up, and last of all no sleeping!! I am loving every second of it!!

This is me and MY ROOMATE Ashlee....
